- Then add the water as required.may be about 2 litres of hot water,in between also you can as and when required.boil it for an hour or so, till the meat gets cooked, it may take more time too because Desi /country chicken takes time to cook and it depends on the toughness and the maturity of the chicken and the size of the pieces and also if you cook along with the skin it takes more time. Check the consistency of the JHOL / soup.I keep it thin because I don't like thick gravy.
